Our Story
In the early 1990s, a Kiwi engineer returned home from the USA, where he had studied the use of wind machines for frost protection. Drawing on his expertise and experience, he began developing his own machines right here in New Zealand.
With years of accumulated knowledge and a passion for innovation, a new concept was developed, resulting in today’s Tow & Blow mobile frost fans. These machines offer unparalleled features, including a specially designed aerodynamic shrouded fan blade that efficiently delivers air using the least possible horsepower.
This innovative design, coupled with the machines’ complete autonomy, eliminates the need for permanent foundations and associated resource or building consents. Tow & Blow truly revolutionised the field of frost protection.
TBX: A New Era of Frost Protection
In recent years, TBX has undergone a strategic rebranding, consolidating our range of products under a single, powerful brand. This rebranding marked a significant milestone in our company’s history, reflecting our commitment to innovation and growth.
One of the key outcomes of this rebranding was the introduction of our Sentry line of fixed frost fans. These high-performance fans complement our existing Tow & Blow portable wind machines, offering customers a wider range of options to suit their specific needs and preferences.
